Currently under construction at Cheoy Lee Shipyards and built to BV classification,
this 4000 hp Deepsea/Harbour ASD tug is fitted with a pair ofNigata main engines 
each developing 2000 hp @ 750 rpm driving through twin Z-Pellers to provide 
a bollard pull of 53.5 tonnes ahead and 47.6 tonnes astern.This arrangement gives 
a service speed of 13 knots.                                                                                                                                                                        
 
In addition the vessel has Twin Yanmardiesels coupled to Taiyo 125 Kva generators 
and a Caterpillar C 18 671 hp diesel powering a 1300 m3/hr pump for firefighting purposes. 
On a platform between the funnels are mounted the Counterfire super low profile 
electric monitors each rated at 600m3/hr @ 11 bar. At the forward end of the engineroom 
is found the Controlroom for monitoring engines and switchgear.                                                                                                                                                            
 
The 3 Yanmax winches are manufactured in Japan, the forward unit has a 980 KN brake capacity, 
carrying 125m of 104mm, 8 strand multi plait co polymer rope, whilst aft is the towing winch 
of the same brake capacity which holds 1000m of 44mm wire, and additionally there is
a tugger winch located on the aft deck, to port of the bitts. The Bridge affords excellent visibility 
and is fitted with mainly Furuno electronics including Radar, Echo sounder, Chartplotter, 
GPS, Navtex, VHF, SSB both radios with DSC, with a noteworthy exception of the Anschutz Gyro 
and Raytheon autopilot.
 
Accommodation is for a maximum complement of 10 persons, 8 in a large full width cabin 
under the main deck, whilst the Master and Chief Engineer are in their own cabins on the main deck. 
A combined galley/mess room, communal sanitary space and a large deck store are also on this level.
The vessels tanks accommodate 109m3 of fuel oil and 45m3 of fresh water.
